LA trip day two
April 29th, 2008
The tamales were wonderful, and the tour of food continued at the Argentinean cafe LaLa’s then a quiet cook out with friends with some great meat from a great little local market in Burbank.
The Disney trip was a blast Linnea wore that dress all day and reveled in the attention she got all day. A lapse in judgement had us thinking that Xander could handle Haunted Mansion instead he retreated to what we like to call his happy place in which he hides as far into my chest as he can force himself. He always comes out at the end with his little scrunched up face saying as only he can that it wasn’t scary dah dah.
We rode Dumbo, Peter Pan, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Pirates, The Jungle Cruise, and The Haunted Mansion. The heat was awful but no one complained. All in all the first trip for the kids to Disneyland went over well and the kids and parents were sufficiently wiped when we got back home.
I am writing this on the morning of our third day and the food tour continues this time with a choice of my wife’s for breakfast at Hugo’s right next to the North Hollywood Hospital, which is now in fact the set for Scrubs.
Now we are trying to figure out what to do with the rest of today.
We’ll let you know how it goes.
